My goal in writing—and, in fact, in life—is to inspire people to see things differently. It is so easy to forget that our understanding of the world is only one possible perspective, a single explanation amongst so many alternatives, and that the universe is really a far more complex and mysterious bear. Meaning and significance are not some fictional objective absolutes. They arise from the interplay between substance and context, and I strive to provide the unexpected, atypical spark that can perhaps recast the mundane in new light to help us rediscover the magic we too often abandon for the illusion of certainty.
