Captain Dave Roman of the Research Submarine (R/S) Discovery wakes up and suddenly realizes that Valentine’s Day has arrived, and once again he has forgotten to do something nice for his S.O. , the boat’s chief engineer, Commander Jennifer Boyles. In an a desperate attempt to make things right, he tells the ship’s Virtual Automated Liaison, VAL, to make plans for him and Jenny. When she starts a video chat with him in the middle of this, he gets flustered, and tells VAL to just go ahead with the plans without looking them over first. Big mistake. Big, big mistake.
